IRISH housebuilder McInerney Holdings has set up a new company to complete housebuilding projects which have run into trouble in the current recession, with the intention of bringing them onto the market.
McInerney Homes Property Services is planning to provide a variety of services including maintenance, refurbishment and modernisation of properties before putting them on the letting or selling market. The company has a sales staff of 18 but says that it will continue to work with established estate agents in certain areas of the country.
Rosemarie Hennebry, marketing director of the company, said it would act as a central resource for marketing McInerney’s sites and sales functions across Ireland and coordinating its relationship with sub-contractors and building material suppliers. It would also offer these services to companies with property portfolios interested “in sub-contracting out their needs in this area”.
She said the company was a natural fit for them in so far as they had a long established reputation in the property business by way of construction, maintenance and customer sales services.
