ANOTHER REDUNDANT school has come on the market in Dublin city centre.

Agent Savills is asking €1.5 million for the former school at 115-117 The Coombe, Dublin 8, which was in use until about a year ago when it was replaced by another school in the same general area.

The two to four-storey building has a floor area of 1,386sq m (14,919sq ft) and stands on a site of 0.148 of a hectare (0.37 of an acre).

The building is on the south side of The Coombe close to the junction of New Street South and Patrick Street. It is near to both St Patrick’s Cathedral and Christchurch.

Donal Kelleher of Savills says that, if refurbished, the old school could be converted for a variety of uses, including offices, studio, community centre, hostel or residential.

It is in an areas with good public transport services.
