A FORMER national school in The Coombe area of Dublin 8, which went for sale in 2009 at €1

A FORMER national school in The Coombe area of Dublin 8, which went for sale in 2009 at €1.5 million, is back on the market through Savills at the much-reduced price of €650,000.

The former St Brigid’s National School has a total floor area of 1,386sq m (14,881sq ft) and occupies a high profile site of 0.148 hectares (0.37 of an acre) at the busy junction of Patrick Street, Upper Kevin Street and New Street South.

The area is within easy walking distance of Grafton Street and St Stephen’s Green. It is served by a frequent bus service.

Jonathan Preston of Savills says the property would be “best suited” to refurbishment and when this was done it could be used as offices, studios, hostel, place of worship, community facilities or residential.
