Shock, horror. Nama is to pay salaries of €15.5 million to property developers this year the Minister for Fiance has told Deputy Arthur Spring (Lab), in a written Dáil answer.
Given that it has 168 of them on the books this works out as an average salary of around €92,000. Only three of them are earning €200,000, while 102 are earning less than €100,000 (29 of these are getting less than €49,000).
Technically, Nama is not paying any salaries but letting the developers pay themselves these sums in return for delivering agreed business plans.
