THE CastleCourt Shopping Centre in Belfast is fully let for the first time since it was completed six years ago. The final outlet to be let was a 2,600 sq ft unit, rented by Northern Ireland Electricity Retail for use as a specialist television, audio, and computer store.
CastleCourt, which contains 73 units, was bought by the British property company, MEPC, in June 1994 for £72.5 million. Earlier this year, the Northern Ireland Audit Office complained that no arrangement had been made to claw back any of the £10 million urban renewal grant paid to the developers, Laing, before the centre changed hands.
