Lake Communications, a Dublin-based communications systems company, is close to finalising a deal for the sale of its network integration business to Cable & Wireless.

The deal is expected to close in the next two weeks, and a final figure has not yet been disclosed.

Lake, which employs 160 people, recorded a turnover of £35 million (€44.44 million) in its last financial year.
