`Business & Finance' calls in advisers

Business & Finance, the weekly magazine, has called in corporate finance advisers to advise on a strategic review of the company, writes Jim Dunne.

The company chairman, Mr William Ambrose, said yesterday one possible outcome of the review could be an equity injection by new investors.

Mr Ambrose added that Business & Finance had the resources to grow but not to grow as quickly as desired. The business has four distinct parts, publishing in its own right, contract publishing on behalf of others, an Internet service and the running of conferences.

Mr Ambrose said the firm had ambitions to develop all these businesses and advisers Dolmen would advise on how this might be done.
