Brokers commissions

We have been asked to correct information contained in an item in the "Merchant" column in yesterday's Business This Week supplement headed "Investors should tread with extreme caution." The item incorrectly stated the brokers' commission on a Canada Life with-profits endowment policy, paying £50 per month over a 10-year period. The commission a broker would receive on such a policy would be £150 in the first year and £24 for the remaining nine years. This would give a total for the 10-year contract of £366.
