A LONDON insurance broker yesterday announced it was introducing a policy providing cover against the risk of contracting "Mad Cow Disease". Goodfellow Rebecca Ingrains Pearson Ltd (GRIP) said the policy would pay out a lump sum on diagnosis of Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (CJD), the human equivalent of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), commonly known as mad cow disease.

GRIP is charging £10 sterling a year for every £25,000 of cover with a special deal available to families.
