Apex Software makes changes at the top

APEX Software has announced the appointment of Mr Raymond Rogers as managing director

APEX Software has announced the appointment of Mr Raymond Rogers as managing director. He has been with the company for 10 years and was most recently its sales director. He replaces Mr Bernard Donnelly, who has been appointed chairman, and will concentrate on developing export markets. Apex is an Irish-owned company and supplies software solutions to the accountancy profession. It employs 31 people in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.

Ms Jennifer Hoban has been appointed as life assurance manager in the Irish Insurance Federation to replace Mr John White, who retired in September. Ms Hoban worked with the Friends First Group for 14 years, holding a number of legal and technical positions. At the time of leaving she was company secretary. Ms Maura O'Riordan has joined the IIF as researcher. She previously worked with IBM.

Sherry FitzGerald, the auctioneers, has opened new branches in Swords and Templeogue, Dublin. Combined with the newly opened Galway branch, this brings to three the number of branch launches within the space of a month. The company now says it has 27 per cent of the Dublin auction market. It has appointed Mr Michael Heather to manage the Swords branch and Mr Declan Fanning to take charge in Templeogue. The company employs 130 people in Dublin.

The Drystock Farmers Association - the ICSA - has announced the appointment of Mr Raymond Doyle as general secretary. He joins the ICSA from Greencore, where he worked as feed commodity trader and prior to that he worked with IAWS. As general secretary, Mr Doyle will be responsible for the strategic development of the group.

Mr Owen Fox has been appointed store manager of C&A's first store in Ireland in the Liffey Valley Centre, Dublin. Mr Fox joined C&A as a trainee manager in its Liverpool store in 1973. He was appointed general manager of the Rotherham store in 1991.

Prospectus, the strategy consultants, has appointed Ms Katie Burke and Mr Owen Purcell as associate directors. Ms Burke specialises in the health-care and financial services sector and previously worked with Eurogroup Consultants, a French management consulting firm. Mr Purcell specialises in the public sector and financial services and joined Prospectus in 1995 from the Midland Radio Group. Milish Foods (formerly KC Hot Shops) has appointed Mr Michael Conway as business development director. He was previously employed as general manager, KC Hotshops. Milish Foods manufactures scones and muffins for the Irish and British retail markets and employs 50 people at its factory in Tallaght, Dublin.
