AIB has announced a second Mezzanine fund of £33 million for investment in small and medium sized businesses and infrastructure projects. The monies, which will be invested on commercial terms, is the second tranche to be offered by the bank. Its first £30 million Mezzanine fund has been fully invested.
The new fund has been created in conjunction with the European Investment Fund, focusing on investing amounts of between £1 million and £5 million in companies with up to 500 employees.
