State-backed IT services company Kaseya has announced plans to create a new “centre of excellence” in Dundalk over the next three years, focused on research and development.
Once open, the facility would support some 250 new jobs, including roles for engineers, technical support and sales, and corporate services, said IDA Ireland.
The State agency, which supports the company, said Kaseya would also work with universities in the area to “help train students for the positions”.
The US-owned company, in which the Ireland Strategic Development Fund invested €19 million in 2018, opened its international headquarters in Dublin in 2016 and provides software to IT outsourcing companies.

IDA Ireland said the company had selected Dundalk as its second Irish location having “successfully executed a similar” opening in Miami, Florida, where it has its headquarters.
Martin Shanahan, chief executive of IDA Ireland, said: “Modelling after this hugely successful programme, with support from IDA Ireland, Kaseya’s leadership is confident this initiative will be another success that brings economic growth to the region.”
Kaseya’s chief executive, Fred Voccola, said: “We are planning to attract top tech talent and generate a robust workforce pipeline in the local community.”
