Two businessmen have consented to summary judgment orders for €1.78 million being made against them at the Commercial Court arising from loans for a property development in Co Meath.
On the application of ACCBank, Mr Justice Peter Kelly yesterday entered summary judgment against Michael Pender, Newtown, Rathganly, Kilcock, Co Kildare, and Vincent Walsh, Clonlyon, Kilcock, over a loan facility issued in 2005 principally to buy a site at the Glebe, Rathmolyon, Co Meath.
The judge noted a €2.7 million sum was due under the loan facilities last September but the bank was entitled to use monies from another deposit account of the defendants to reduce the liability and did so, leaving €1.7 million due.
