Last month, I wondered what James Franco was up to, but this month, Ellen Page crossed my mind because we haven’t seen much of her since Inception.
Her biggest audience this year will be with Quantic Dream’s follow up to Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls. Page plays the lead character, Jodie Holmes, in what is sure to be another smash hit for David Cage’s gaming company. There’s an interview with David Cage about the game here, and you can watch the trailer below:
She’s in the next X Men too, Days of Future Past, where she’ll reprise her role of Kitty Pryde / Shadowcat. Then there’s Freeheld, directed by Peter Sollett of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist and written by Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia).
In the intriguing The East, which showed at Sundance, Page stars alongside Alexander Skarsgård in a film about an operative of a private investigation firm who infiltrates an anarchist group. Zal Batmanglij directed the film, and he also happens to be the brother of Rostam from Vampire Weekend, nerd-fact fans. The trailer looks good.
Page is also branching out with her directorial debut set to be a high school dram-com called Miss Stevens. Anna Faris is playing the title role, and the producers of The Kids Are Alright, Gilbert Films, are also involved.
So that, my friends, is what Ellen Page is up to.
