The New Yorker – great, sharp, intelligent, worldly writing and makes me feel I’m in New York, my favorite city

Do you have a favourite podcast or radio programme?
I love listening to Marian Finucane on RTE 1 on weekends and John Murray show every morning
When you fall into a YouTube hole what’s the general subject matter of the videos you’re watching?
Always dance.
What track should we listen to right now?
Actually, I’m listening to an operatic aria from ‘Fidelio’ by Beethoven: ‘Gott! Welch dunkel hier’ (I’m also an opera singer). Next track on ipod is Jay-Z ’99 problems’
Which boxset/TV series do you have on the go at the moment?
Dr Who, closely followed by The Judy Garland Show from the 1960’s.
Last gig/concert you went to and your verdict?
Justin Vivian Bond – New York’s contemporary cross between David Bowie and Marianne Faithfull – in Joe’s Pub, New York. Verdict – SUBLIME
Which app do you use the most?
‘What’s App’ to send messages and pictures to friends and colleagues, and Twitter (I’m @johnscottdance by the way)
