Every week, we highlight a couple of new acts from around the globe who’ve caught our attention. Please feel free to share tips with us or check out all past New Music selections here.

Dom Robinson

“Good Love” is the sound of some real talent coming to the fore at warp speed. Leeds singer-songwriter Dom Robinson has gathered plenty of plaudits over the last couple of months for his combination of handsome vocals and catchy, streamlined, folky melodies and his latest track shows just why he’s such a hottly tipped property at present.

Rex Orange County

From Surrey, Alex O’Connor’s work as Rex Orange County is fast becoming a seriously addictive proposition. His recent mixtape “bcos u will never b free” showcases just why the teenager’s blend of soulful, wonky, off-beam observational pop and brilliantly pitched sounds has won plaudits from the likes of Badbadnotgood and Tyler, the Creator.

Astrid Gnosis

London-based, visual artist and musician Astrid Gnosis is producing music which is full of unexpected twists and turns between the layers of textured atmospherics and noiresque beats. Her forthcoming “Agnosis” EP for Music/Is/For/Losers is a five-track leap into the Gnosis world, combining her wide experience with installations, exhibitions and other art-music performances with more art-pop and techno leanings. Check out “Titan” from the EP below.
