Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

D.D. Dumbo

Oliver Perry’s “Tropical Oceans” is a track to get under your skin with its creepy blues and eerie melodies topped by that great growl of a voice. From Castlemaine in Australia, the new 4AD signing has spent the last while over here touring with Tame Impala and playing fests like Latitude and is about to tour at home with Courtney Barnett.

New York-based singer-songwriter heads for the limelight with “Strange Enough”, a strong, infectious, smartly turned out slice of wonky electro-pop produced by Elliot Jacobson. Vérité may be all about the intrigue but, as with the previously released track “Heartbeat”, she backs it up with some beautiful substance.

Oslo Parks

We wonder if the Brighton duo prefer Oslo’s Middelalderparken to the St Hanshaugen Park when it comes to wide open spaces in the Norwegian capital. Debut single “Twin” is a bright, breezy slice of synthpop heaven, full of sweet melodic touches and alluring disco-lite swirls.
