Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Saturday, Monday

Swedish producer Ludvig Parment’s beautiful sweeps of electronic pop soundscapes are what initially draw you into the world of Saturday, Monday. “Headshake” and “The Ocean”, both featuring Julia Spada on vocals, are reasons to be cheerful about Parment’s forthcoming debut album “The Road and the Ocean and the End”.

Boys In Lilies

The glorious “Hatching” EP from French band Boys In Lilies is going to attract fans of melodic dream-pop and electronic slo-mo shuffles. Tracks like “The Bird” are full of awe and wonder, especially when Laure Berneau opens her mouth and starts to coo over shimmering sounds created by the band from Tours. Tres magnifique.

Royal Blood

Royal Blood hail from Brighton and the duo are currently attracting wows and raves for their crunchy, meaty, ballsy blues-rock with a snap of the White Stripes here and a blast of Death From Above 1979 there. “Figure It Out” is their ace calling card right now and the live show indicates there’s a lot more to come.
