You’ll find my piece from the weekend’s paper about how FundIt and Kickstarter campaigns have turned artists into chuggers here. It’s something which has become more and more noticable in recent times as some projects struggle to raise funding and those behind the campaign resort to frantic chugging to get the funding over the line before the deadline. There is also the matter of “the FundIt shuffle” (hat-tip to Kate O’Sullivan for letting me know there’s a term for this) as funders invest lump sums to get projects over the line and thus get to tap all the pledged funds.
