On the Road: Sam Riley on playing Jack Kerouac’s boho alter-ego Sal Paradise in On the Road.

Flying Lotus: Steve Ellison on new album “Until the Quiet Comes” and why he’s not capable of repeating himself when it comes to music.

Looper: Rian Johnson on achieving the impossible: a time-travel sci-fi epic that makes sense – and is also a western.

Booking the Cooks: Buck 65 on the joys of poutine. Yum!

New Found Sounds : the podcast featuring new Irish bits and pieces plus a preview of next week’s Hard Working Class Heroes festival.

Plus CD reviews (including Muse, Damien Dempsey, DJ Shadow, Deadmau5, Paranoid Visions, Roisin O, “Country Soul Sisters”, Cocophone, Motorcycle Display Team, Ronan Guilfoyle, Dave Douglas Quintet, Kelly Joe Phelps etc), films (Untouchable, Barbara, The Campaign, Holy Motors, Looper, Resident Evil: Retribution, Husbands, Footnote), games (Boderlands 2, R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War, FI 2012), apps (MusiXMatch), listings, news and much, much more.

That’s your winning Ticket in The Irish Times today in print, online and the best of The Ticket on the app.

DJ-ing plug: if it’s the last Friday of the month, that means it’s time for Glider at the Workman’s Club, Dublin 2. Playing this, that and the other upstairs from 10pm and downstairs from 11.3pm will be Cillian McDonnell, Tanya Sweeney and myself plus special guest, Phantom FM DJ and poutine fan Alison Curtis. Admission is free.

The OTR plugs service is now open for business. Please feel free to plug and recommend stuff away to your heart’s content, but remember some simple rules: (a) declare an interest where one should be declared, (b) plugs are accepted on the whim of OTR and may be edited for length/clarity/common sense and (c) plugs which mention a commercial sponsor are really ads and will probably not be published in this slot. Hup the Tribesmen (don’t mess this one up – also applies to Tipp minors, who should have won last day out)!
