Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share New Music tips below.

Tandem Felix

Tandem Felix may be the best thing to come out of a Dublin secondary school French class in quite some time. What you get from the young four-piece is spikey, spacey indie rock with some interesting pop and quasi-classical strokes in the mix too. Check out the “Tweedledee” collection on their Bandcamp page for a snapshot of what the Felix at large sound like right now.

Netherlands

Debut single “Something Or Nothing” has many going wow about Netherlands and their brand of dreamy, bittersweet, emotional pop. Originally from Southampton and now based in London, the band have been recording with Big Pink and Florence & The Machine duo Jimmy Robertson and Demien Castellanos.

Cities Aviv

Representing Memphis, Cities Aviv is rapper Gavin Mays, a dude with a winning combo of off-the-beam samples, sleepy beats and brilliantly skewered observations. His album “Digital Lows” is a good starting point, but you can tell by tracks like “Araw” that he’s got plenty more under the bonnet. Hook him up with a Lex Luger beat ASAP and watch him go boom.
