Easter 1916: colouring competition

As part of The Irish Times Remembering the 1916 Rising, we are inviting you to take part in a colouring competition of an image from 1916.

In order to enter, please take the following steps:

  1. Download the image The Irish Times 1916 colouring competition  
  2. Print the PDF onto an A4 or A3 sheet
  3. Colour in the image using whatever materials you like
  4. Fill in your details underneath the picture (Name, address, email address and phone number)
  5. Return the image to us by post or email to the following address: The Irish Times 1916 Colouring Competition, The Irish Times Building, 24-28 Tara Street, Dublin 2 or 1916competition@irishtimes.com

The competition winner will receive a new state of the art Kindle Voyage Wi-Fi, while five runners-up will each win book tokens to the value of €50.

  3. Employees or agents of The Irish Times, and their families or other persons connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
  4. Prize is as offered and no cash alternative will apply.
  5. The prize is not transferable.
  6. This competition is open to all ages.
  7. The competition is open to all residents on the island of Ireland.
  8. A valid entry consists of the PDF (available above) printed out, coloured in and posted or emailed to The Irish Times 1916 Colouring Competition, The Irish Times Building, 24-28 Tara Street, Dublin 2 or 1916competition@irishtimes.com along with your name, address, email address and phone number.
  9. Entries must be submitted by post or email to The Irish Times 1916 Colouring Competition, The Irish Times Building, 24-28 Tara Street, Dublin 2 or 1916competition@irishtimes.com.
  10. Entries not submitted in accordance with these rules will be disqualified.
  11. The promoters’ decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The promoters reserve the right to change any aspect of the prize.
  13. The prize will be subject to any additional terms and conditions of the suppliers of the prize.
  14. The promoters are excluded from liability for any loss, damage or injury which might occur to the winner arising from his or her acceptance of the prize.
  15. The winner may be required to participate in unpaid promotional related publicity undertaken by the promoter or its associated companies.
  16. Entry to this promotion shall be deemed full and unconditional acceptance of the terms & conditions.
  17. The promoters reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions.
  18. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

  20. The winner will be chosen by an Irish Times panel of judges.
  21. Winners will be contacted by May 6th 2016.
