Limerick preview: David Mullins waiting on the weather

Teenage jockey has high hopes on Bamako if rains holds off

The threat of overnight rain means Limerick will have to pass an 8.0am inspection and David Mullins will be keeping his fingers crossed for a green light.

The teenager is set to team up with a couple of new French recruits to Willie Mullins’s team including Bamako Moriviere in the Listed Hurdle.

This one landed a hurdle in Pau a year ago and carries the Rich Ricci colours along with his stable companion Dicosimo who looked very promising at one stage last season only for his campaign to fizzle out somewhat.

Berry Des Aulmes was runner up in a French bumper last March and is preferred to another Gigginstown hope, Ball d’Arc, in the opener.
