Australian flight lands in Bali after ‘hijack’ report

TV station report drunk passenger attempted to enter cockpit

A Virgin Australia flight landed safely in Bali, Indonesia, after a drunk passenger went into the cockpit, Metro TV reported, citing the airline's manager at the airport.

Metro initially reported the plane had been hijacked and forced to land at Bali international airport, citing an airforce spokesman.

Sudjatmiko, the Virgin Australia manager, said the aircraft wasn’t hijacked, the TV channel reported. Indonesian police arrested one person, the TV channel reported. The plane was flying from Brisbane, Australia, the report said.

The flight was being evacuated.
