** The chief executive of Irish Bank Resolution Corporation may be questioned by the Oireachtas Finance Committee about its relationships with large debtors including Paddy McKillen (pictured). The Sunday Times reports that Michael McGrath, the Fianna Fáil finance spokesman, wants the committee to look at details of the relationship between the former Anglo Irish Bank and Mr McKillen, which have been revealed in his case in the UK courts against the Barclay brothers. IBRC turned down an offer from the Barclays to buy some €300 million of Mr McKillen’s debts that related to the hotels. The bank is supporting Mr McKillen.

** Two international drinks groups have run the rule over C&C in recent months, according to the Sunday Independent.

SABMiller and Carlsberg have both looked at the group that owns the Bulmers, Magners and Tennent’s brands.

Speculation that the company is a takeover target has intensified in the wake of the departure of chief executive John Dunsmore in February, the paper reports.

** Aer Lingus has overtaken Ryanair as the the biggest carrier at Dublin airport, according to the Sunday Business Post, which cites Dublin Airport Authority passenger data. The figures also show that Terminal Two is outperforming its projected share of total traffic.
