Twisted Pepper, Dublin Thurs 11pm 15/14 01-8734800

It didn’t take long for Maya Jane Coles to rise to the top of the pack. The Londoner is someone to be reckoned with, a young gun who produces compelling, classic pieces of electronic music such as What They Say and Don’t Te ll.

Aside from key cuts for labels Mobilee, Dogmatik, 1trax and Real Tone, Coles fires up remixes as Nocturnal Sunshine and is involved in the She Is Danger bass collaboration with singer Lena Cullen. An album can be expected, which Coles wants to be “just electronic music the way I want to make it”.

The rest of the night’s action-packed bill features Perc (the forward-thinking techno producer who went from releases for Drumcode, Ovum, Kompakt and CLR to setting up Perc Trax), Lee Kelly, Giles Armstrong, David O’Sullivan and Junior Spesh DJs.
