Bohs extend their lead

Bray Wanderers 1 Bohemians 3: Bohemians stretched their lead at the top of the table to four points after coming from behind against Bray at the Carlisle Grounds this evening.

Three minutes before the break, the influential Gary Deegan dragged them level after Chris Shields's deflected effort gave the homeside the lead on 28 minutes.

Deegan then won the penalty that allowed Jason Byrne put Bohs ahead before getting sent of13 minutes from time for a second booking.

By that time Killian Brennan’s header had secured the points for the champions.

An injury-ravaged Derry City failed to stay in touch with the leaders thanks to a 28th minute goal from Dundalk debutant Alex Williams.

At Terryland Park, Cork City got back on track and moved to within a point of the Candystripes with a 2-0 win over Galway United .

Guntars Silagailis converted Colin Healy’s 36th minute cross from close range to give the Leesiders the lead, before Faz Kudozovic’s immaculate 20 yard shot flew past Barry Ryan in the 67th minute.
