UNDER-19 UEFA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER/Malta 0 Republic of Ireland 2:Sean McCaffrey's side left it late to clinch victory as two goals in the last ten minutes saw off the hosts in their opening UEFA Championship qualifier in the Ta'Qali Stadium today.
Sunderland defender Niall McArdle opened the scoring after 80 minutes before Ipswich Town midfielder Paul Murphy sealed the win with a magnificent strike from 25 yards out with two minutes remaining.
