Limited edition Martyn TurnerSt Patrick's Athletic will face Hertha Berlin in the first round of the Uefa Cup after their 4-3 aggregate win over Swedish side IF Elfsborg last night. The draw is a tough one for John McDonnell's side but their performance over two legs against high class opposition will have them brimming with confidence.
The first leg will take place in Berlin on the 18th September, while Pat's have confirmed that the return leg will be staged at the RDS on October 2nd because Richmond Park is does not meet the standard required for the Uefa Cup proper.
Standard Liege, meanwhile, will be back on Merseyside, this time to face Everton, after their cruel exit from the Champions League qualifiers at the hands of Liverpool.
Harry Redknapp will test the European credentials of his Portsmouth side against Portuguese side Vitoria SC, who are also known as Guimaraes.

Clydesdale Bank Premier League outfit Motherwell will play French club Nancy.
Former England coach Steve McClaren will see his FC Twente side up against French club Rennes.
McClaren had seen the Dutch club go out of the Champions League qualifiers after defeat by Arsenal.
