RACING: Seamie Heffernan will partner Septimus in the Irish Field St Leger at the Curragh on Saturday.
Although trainer Aidan O'Brien has also declared last year's winner Yeats, it appears that is only as a precaution in the event of Septimus not being 100 per cent. No jockey has been booked for Yeats, with stable number one Johnny Murtagh on duty at Doncaster to principally partner Frozen Fire in the Ladbrokes St Leger.
