Matthew Rees
Wales (Scarlets)
Lacks the accuracy out of touch of the injured Jerry Flannery or Lee Mears and the lingering concerns over his lineout reliability will stand against him, particularly as the Lions will be coming up against the strongest lineout in world rugby.
Industrious hooker who comes into his own in open play, Rees is realistically looking at a place on the replacements bench in the tests with Mears, or even late-call up Ross Ford, ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment.
Little has changed in the wake of the tour opener against the Royal XV, where Rees suffered more than most in a nervy Lions display.
