Luke Fitzgerald
Ireland (Leinster)
The 21-year-old made his Ireland debut against the Pacific Islands at Lansdowne Road in 2006 having enjoyed a brilliant schools career that saw him with a Triple Crown with the national side and a Leinster Schools Senior Cup with Blackrock College.
A member of the Grand Slam winning team this season - he scored two tries against Italy and three in total - he is a gifted athlete who is also ferocious in defence and can regularly be found toward the top of the tackle count. Has rarely featured off the wing at international level but is comfortable in the centre or at fullback.
Drew short straw in belated first start three games in, at inside centre, but looked razor-sharp against the Sharks and his quick feet and clever lines earned him a call-up for the second Test. Defensive blips cost him his place in third Test.
