Cork 0-13 Tipperary 0-06: Cork ran out convincing winners of the McGrath Cup this afternoon, with a seven-point win over Tipperary in Clonmel.

The Rebels dominated from start to finish and were quickly into their stride with points from Fintan Goold and Michael O Laoire. The only managed their third score through Fiachra Lynch in the 20th minute, but Tipp had yet to score.

Tipp got their first from a free-kick, moments later, but Paul Kerrigan and Liam Shorten responded for Cork. Tipp battled and got two back but Conor O’Driscoll gave the Rebels a three-point lead at the break.

Kerrigan, Pearse O’Neill and Goold kept them firmly in control after the restart and they never looked back, though Tipp were guilty of spurning a number of goal chances.
