Women's hockey:The Irish team completed its 10-day training camp in Valencia yesterday with a 1-0 win over Spain, UCD’s Anna OFlanagan scoring 13 minutes from time.

Having lost 2-0 and 2-1 to their hosts in friendlies over the weekend, part of the squad’s build-up to the World League II in the same city later this month, it was the first victory for coach Darren Smith since he was appointed to the position in November.

Ireland face Spain, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Italy in their group.
