Patrick Hoban makes the move back to Dundalk

Former League of Ireland top scorer has been playing in England for the last three years

Dundalk have re-signed former striker Patrick Hoban after he left Mansfield Town last May.

The 26-year-old made the move to England in 2014 when he signed for Oxford on the back of a season as the League of Ireland’s top scorer, helping Dundalk to the first of their three titles in a row on the way.

After loan spells with Stevenage and Grimsby, followed by four goals in 21 appearances for Mansfield, he was released in May of this year and has been a free agent since.

Stephen Folan and Dean Jarvis have also signed for Stephen Kenny's side as they get set for the 2018 season where they will be looking to reclaim the title from Cork City.
