Dramatic win arrives late for Bohemians against Sligo

Late goals from Kurtis Byrne and Stephen Best saw Bohemians snatch three points at Dalymount Park. Bohs had been trailing 2-1 before Byrne scored a wonderful free kick on 88 minutes. Best then fired through the packed goalmouth in the second minute of added time to steal the win.

Poor Bohemians defending on four minutes allowed Kieran Sadlier to open the scoring for Sligo. Rovers then had Gavin Peers sent off on 22 minutes when a late lunge on Ismahil Akinade resulted in a red card. Sligo doubled their lead on 27 minutes when Liam Martin finished well from inside the area t.

Bohemians s were back in the game on 44 minutes when Akinade finished well into the bottom left corner.

But they left it very late to take a deserved win.
