Man City to play Real Madrid in Champions League semis

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester while Atlético Madrid face Bayern Munich

Manchester City have drawn Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final and so could meet Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich in the final if they knock the 10-time winners out.

Guardiola is to replace the City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, on 1 July. City will host Real for the first leg on the April 26th/27th at the Etihad Stadium and play the return game at the Santiago Bernanbéu on May 3rd/4th.

Pellegini was Real coach between 2009 and 2010, when he was replaced by José Mourinho. Real finished second behind Barcelona in La Liga that season and Pellegrini was fired for not winning the title.
