Zebre 30 Ospreys 27

Zebre did Ulster a huge favour this evening as they held on for a narrow win against the Ospreys, seriously damaging the Welsh side’s hopes of gaining a play-off berth ahead of Mark Anscombe’s side.

The result guarantees Munster a place in the knockout stages and all but ends the Ospreys hopes of overhauling Ulster and making the top four.

A dramatic clash was decided in the last minute when replacement Zebre scrumhalf Guglielmo Palazzani crossed for the crucial score after earlier scores for Giovanbattista Venditti and Brendan Leonard.

Justin Tipuric, Ashley Beck and skipper Alun Wyn Jones had crossed for the visitors.
