Ireland Rugby World Cup tickets range from €60 to €300

Ireland will have one early afternoon kick-off and three 5pm starts to their Pool D matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Joe Schmidt’s side already knew their opponents and where they would face them but confirmation of a schedule and ticket prices came this morning.

The cheapest ticket for an Ireland pool game will be €60 for adults, while a ticket for the France game at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium could cost as much as €300 (see graph).

Tickets will go on general sale to the public in September 2014. Before that, from January 1st next year, they will be available thorugh official travel agents. The Irish travel partner for the tournament is Club Travel.

After the general sale in September, there will be a ’real-time’ sale of the remaining tickets in November and December.

Ireland will open their campaign against Canada at the Millennium Stadium at 2.30pm on September 19th, before 5pm starts against a European qualifier, possibly Georgia or Russia, at Wembley on the 27th, Italy at the Olympic Stadium on October 4th and France back in Cardiff on the 11th.

The first of the 48 matches will be between hosts England and the Oceania 1 qualifier at Twickenham at 8pm on September 18th.

Defending champions New Zealand will open their tournament against Argentina at Wembley at 5pm on the 20th.

“More than one million tickets for Rugby World Cup 2015 will be made available at £100 (€120) or less and 500,000 at £50 (€60)or less,” according to a RWC statement this morning.

“Adult tickets start at £15 (€18) for pool matches and there will be child tickets available from £7 (€8) at 41 of the 48 matches.

“Ticket prices will range from £7 (€8) to £315 (€377)for pool matches, £15 (€18) to £515 (€617) for knockout matches and £150 (€180) to £715 (€857) for the Final at Twickenham on October 31st.”
