England will play South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia in next year’s autumn internationals as part of the Old Mutual Wealth Series.

Eddie Jones, who was appointed England's new head coach a fortnight ago, will face his native Australia in the final match of the series on Saturday, December 3rd.

Fiji have also been added to the list. The Islanders finished fourth in Pool A at this year's World Cup, following defeats to England, Australia and Wales.

World Cup semi-finalists South Africa are England’s first autumn opponents on Saturday, November 12th before they play Fiji on Saturday, November 19th and Argentina on Saturday, November 26th.

England full-back Mike Brown said: "It's great to be able to take on four such quality teams on back to back weekends.

“It allows us to test ourselves against some high calibre opposition and it’s great that Old Mutual Wealth is supporting the series.”

England will also take on Wales in a capped match at Twickenham on Sunday, May 29th for the Old Mutual Wealth Cup.

Meanwhile Wales will face the full set of world rugby’s top ranked sides in 2016.

Warren Gatland's side, currently ranked fourth in the world, were already scheduled to play a three-Test summer series against world champions New Zealand on the back of the 2016 Six Nations Championship and a pre-tour friendly against England at Twickenham on May 29th.

Wales will play Test matches against the All Blacks in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin from June 11-25th as well as a tour match against the Chiefs in Hamilton on June 14th.

Autumn matches have now been arranged against World Cup runners-up Australia (November 5th) and semi-finalists Argentina (November 12th) and South Africa (November 26th) at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

A fourth autumn fixture on November 19th will be confirmed at a later date.

A WRU statement confirming the 2016 fixture list read: “Wales will continue their mantra to test themselves against the best as they line up against all eight of their highest ranked opponents over the course of 14 fixtures next year, including facing New Zealand three times and England twice.”
