O'Sullivan joins Agen
FORMER MUNSTER forward John O’Sullivan has signed a two-year deal with French second-tier club Agen.
The 28-year-old O’Sullivan, who can play across the three backrow positions, spent four seasons with the two-time European champions, making 33 Magners League and three Heineken Cup appearances.
The Tralee man joined Munster in 2005 from Connacht, where he made a huge mark.
He was released from his Munster contract at the end of this season, but now resumes his professional career in France.
Agen finished second behind Racing Metro Paris in the Pro D2 table, the tier below the Top 14.
Only one team is promoted automatically each season, but “les bleus et blancs” were shocked by Oyonnax in the play-offs for sides finishing second to fifth.
According to Agen coach Christian Lanta, O’Sullivan was recruited for his experience.
