Galway hurlers and footballers share sponsor

Galway footballers and hurlers will have the same sponsor for the first time this season.

Last night Supermacs were unveiled as the sponsors of both intercounty teams for a five-year term and former TD and current Galway County Board chairman Noel Treacy is looking forward to Sunday’s NFL Division Two opener with Derry as it will be an “historic” day.

“It will be an historic day, because for the very first time, both of our county teams will wear the same new standard maroon jersey with one county crest thereon and both teams will proudly carry the name of a single sponsor, Supermacs, for the very first time also.”
