Mons record 15-point McKenna Cup win
Fermanagh 0-11 Monaghan 2-20
Monaghan cruised to a comfortable victory in a free-flowing, if one-sided contest in Brewster park last night.
Fermanagh opening the scoring through a Séamus Quigley free but that was the only time they were to lead in the opening period as Monaghan took control with telling counter-attacks. Monaghan went on to lead by 1-10 to 0-7 at the break, Thomas Kerr with the goal in the 10th minute.
Monaghan continued to pick off the scores after the break and had matters well wrapped up before Christopher McGuinness hit their second goal with five minutes remaining to leave them winners by 15 points.
