John Brudair steps down as Limerick senior football manager

Limerick have announced John Brudair is stepping down from his role as the county's senior football manager.

Brudair took over from Maurice Horan in 2013. This summer he saw his side beaten 0-16 to 0-13 by Clare in the quarter-finals of the Munster Championship.

The Shannonsiders subsequently beat Antrim in the opening round of the All-Ireland qualifiers, before losing to Cork, 0-10 to 2-12, in Round 2B.

A statement released by the Limerick county board said: “John Brudair has informed CLG Coiste Contae Luimní today that he will not be going forward for another term as Limerick Senior Football Manager.

“John has given sterling service to Limerick Football over the past three seasons. CLG Coiste Contae Lumní and Coiste Peil Lumní would like to thank John and his Management team for their dedication to Limerick Football.”
