Breaffy qualify for the Mayo senior county final for the first time

Aidan O’Shea’s goal helps see off Charlestown’s challenge

Breaffy 1-15 Charlestown 1-6
Breaffy made history by qualifying for the club's first ever senior football final where they will meet neighbours Castlebar in two weeks' time.

An early second-half goal from Mayo midfielder Aiden O’Shea helped Breaffy take a commanding 1-12 to 0-6. Breaffy built a solid four-point platform at half-time – 0-9 to 0-5 – Aiden O’Shea and Alan Durcan scoring the best of the points.

Substitute Brendan Quinn scored a consolation goal for Charlestown who never really looked likely to prevail.
