Dungarvan 0-14 Blackwater CS 0-10:Holders Dungarvan Colleges are through to the semi-finals of this year’s Dr Harty Cup after a hard-fought four-point win over Blackwater Community School from Lismore at Fraher Field.

Played in testing conditions, it was Dungarvan that went in at the break leading 0-7 to 0-6. Patrick Curran proved to be the holders scorer in chief in the opening 30 minutes hitting five scores while from Blackwater Community School David Grey hit all but one of his sides first half tally.

The second half proved to be as equally as tough a battle but the winners hit a purple patch in a six-minute spell in which they hit five points from the sticks of Patrick Curran, Darragh Lyons and a delightful effort from Colin Dunford on the three-quarter mark.
