Castletroy's defence on top

Castletroy College 8 Glenstal Abbey 5:Castletroy College can thank their strong defence for a victory in difficult conditions at Annacotty. The opening penalty for Castletroy, after 25 minutes by Conor Fleming, proved to be the difference between the sides.

Both teams had a player sin-binned at different stages of the second half and both missed good scoring opportunities.

After several drives Castletroy finally had a try when number eight David Rowsome squeezed in at the corner in the last play of the first half. Opposite number George O’Hara responded for Glenstal.
