LEINSTER SCHOOLS JUNIOR CUP: St Michael's 23 Clongowes Wood 12Chris Carey struck twice in the first half for St Michaels at Donnybrook yesterday. Barry Fitzpatrick had kicked an early penalty and fullback Michael Heaney showed quick hands to send Carey over on the quarter hour.

Fitzpatrick, after burrowing in under the posts, then converted his own try. Carey then went over in the corner to put his team 20-0 ahead.

Jack Moore went over for Clongowes late on after a skipped pass released Seán McCrohan for a try on the hour mark.
