Central Bank governor Patrick Honohan  said 
the Anglo tapes “seem to be saying that they Anglo executives] want to entrap the Central Bank into a situation” where it would provide funding to plug a growing hole in its balance sheet around September 2008. 
However, he added that this “has to be examined to see if that apparent impression is correct”.
