Rio de Janeiro's Joao Havelange stadium, scheduled to host athletics at the 2016 Olympic games, has been closed to undergo roof repairs, the city's mayor said. The stadium, completed less than six years ago, is currently the city's main soccer venue while the Maracana is rebuilt for  the World Cup.
